Red face Is there a special forum for me?

What i mean is: I feel sooooo dumb, when i check prices and they list them,
there is always more on the inscription (for example) than there's listed here, which makes me almost sure that mine isn't worth a ratsbehind...How to find out? I wish someone would take the time and go through all the junk i accumulated with me, check them and give a patient and clear description on why this item is listed as 3-5k but in fact is worth something alltogether different. I'm dazed and confused let me tell you.

I have for instance a Skythe Grip of Fortitude, listed as 10-20 k, but: it says also Health +24! Somehow this gives me the feeling that it makes it worth something else *sigh*. I played a total of about 370 hrs, got three chars up to lvl 20 and i'm still completely in the dark when it comes to selling the more complicated items. Help!

PS.: Not even sure if i post the right way/place sry

actually the only inscriptions that are worth anything are MAX inscriptions.

Such as

Fortitude Inscriptions max is +30hps these range from 10-20k like you said but +29hps inscriptions are worth a bit as well just not nearly the 10-20k more like 1-2 or 3k anything less than that is not worth the time it takes to sale. So just put on hero weapons or give to new guys.

Best way to learn about inscriptions is to learn what is max and what is desireable... check out this link http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Inscription

it shows all the inscriptions and what the max for each is. Just remember just because it is a max inscription doesn't mean its worth a ton of money... for example

a 20% dmg while health is below 50% will most likely not be sellable because it isn't a desireable inscription where as a 15% dmg while his ABOVE 50% will probably bring 2-3k because it is desireable. Hope this helps answer your questions.

Also the reason people pay huge prices for items is because of the "skin" or look of the item any axe that has the same stats as another axe performs the exact same way....the only difference it the look of the axe. For example a hand axe that is 15% ^50 req 9 with +30hps 20/20 sundering may sale for 30k a Stygian Reaver with the same stats or even lesser stats will sale for 100K + XX ectos and its all because of the LOOk not the functionality of the item.

and actually you probably should have posted this in the questions and answers forum :P cheers and good luck

I'm really quite gratefull that you replied so swiftly but it also demonstrates my point a bit about my brain appearently freezing up:

What are hitpoints? I never saw an inscription saying +30 hps or any other number of +hps. Would it say that then or is there some mystical equation to it? Thanx for the link and i'll take the rest of my questions elsewhere (questions and Answers) and hope i won't mess the posting there too somehow... Thnx for reacting!
